1800's ERA MEN's PASTORAL WORKWEAR SHIRT - STITCHED ENTIRELY BY HAND
1800's era linen pleated front pullover tradesman workwear tunic shirt. Off white linen, perhaps hand loomed. Stitched entirely by hand. Stand collar band. Pleated front with pleats. Two button placket with china buttons. Applied shoulder yoke with open notch at collar seam exposing gathering underneath. Drop shoulder. Inset sleeves with tiny gathers at neck seam and shoulder seam. Gussets under arm. Applied band cuffs with rounded corners and china buttons. Long shirt tails with side vents.
Fine early wearable workwear shirt or excellent specimen for archival use.

Drop shoulder, measured from shoulder yoke seams - 21 1/2"
Sleeve (drop shoulder) - 19 1/2"
Center back, measured from neck seam to hem edge - 36 1/2"
Condition:
Excellent condition, consistent with the age of this garment. Shirt shows repairs near front collar and back shoulder. There are a vew small holes in the lower quarter. There are some areas of discoloration and soil marks. Wearable condition.
